The Kentucky Bluegrass Chapter of the Society of Government Meeting Professionals is dedicated to improving the knowledge and expertise of individuals in the planning and management of government meetings through education, training, industry relationships and mutual support. The Chapter holds monthly educational meetings focusing on building the skills necessary to plan better cost effective and more efficient government meetings, as well as developing the relationships which will enable planners and suppliers to work together.

Holiday Reflections...
At this time of year it is good to think back over the past twelve months and take stock in all that we have and give thanks. I am thankful for my family and friends. I am thankful for my job which I enjoy every day. I am thankful for all the wonderful people I have met through SGMP. Each month at our chapter meetings I look around at all the bright, talented people in the room and think wow I am lucky to be part of such an amazing group of people. I am thankful I had the opportunity to go to the NEC in Norfolk. I learned so much and met people from all over the country that have one thing in common...meeting planning. I am thankful that in difficult times I have learned ways to be more efficient and effective in planning meetings.
It is easy for us to lose sight of what is important in our lives, but if we take a moment to step back and think about the simple things that make us happy and the people we have on our side, we will surely be able to tackle any problems that come our way! Happy Holidays
